We recently took a trip to Castelo Branco in search of items to finish the bathroom.

After two years of working around, and walking on the stairwell cover, we recently opened it up to access the dungeon.
Although we still need to source and install the granite risers and treads, the stairs are perfectly useable with care.

The painting of the exterior of the house is now done.
Because the weather has been so warm we were limited to working later in the day when the sun had passed round the house.

With the inevitable delays and then an extra week taken while Janet and I were in Lisbon for a short Portuguese course, the kitchen (first phase) was finally delivered and installed.
Although the build quality is equally as good as the main kitchen there are a couple of annoyances.

Normally we would expect variable weather conditions at this time of year with wind and rain.
As it has been generally nice each day and the materials for work downstairs have still not arrived I decided to continue painting outside.

Almost done, at last! It was slow work but worth it.
The new leveling system has helped greatly with tiling the bathroom walls, something I have not had to do for quite a long time.

After completing the floor of the main room it was time to tackle the bathroom.
Not a large area but there is the shower space to deal with and then the walls.

After an unusually lengthy delay with delivering our tile order, RMM finally arrived with the goods.
Typically we would wait less than a week but this time it was about a month.
