The new bathroom has been basically done for a week or so but is not being used.

The shower needs finishing and we are still waiting for the storage cupboards to be made and delivered.

The bathroom furniture is all plumbed in and working, occasionally I will test that everything still works.

It was quite a surprise that, when I flushed the toilet, there appeared a flood of water across the floor!

Obviously, this did not happen when I tested everything after installing the toilet.

Could the system be blocked and backed up? Almost certainly not as it has not been used except for a couple of test flushes.

The only option was to dismantle it all and take a look - this is the result.

On removing the pipe we can see that it has been destroyed.

So, a further expense to source and fit a solid PVC tube version of the offset adapter was incurred.

It was difficult to get the correct item but Saneabi in Castelo Branco had something that we could use.
