Originally from Yorkshire and London respectively, Rick and Janet have been together since around 1995 after meeting at work in Manchester. We lived for many years in Macclesfield raising our two daughters, Emily and Rachel, before unexpectedly moving to Portugal in 2017.

Although the move may have initially been temporary, it soon became clear that we would not be moving back to England. The environment here is immeasurably better, clean air, clean water, even the rain is better.
