Following the reasonable result of rendering the garden wall some weeks ago, I decided that I could do the same with the LPG gas store cabinet that I built outside behind the kitchen.

I had to be home to await delivery of a parcel that never arrived (that is a different story) so I took advantage of the good weather and the available time.

I originally built the box using a mixture of bricks found around the garden, plus a few new ones and some roof tiles. It was not a terrible job but it was done quickly and not up to my expectations, some of the tiles had broken and it was not quite large enough to get two bottles in or out easily.

Now that we have a stack of new bricks in the workshop and plenty of sand and cement I decided to rebuild.

The new version is wider, taller, and, a much better construction overall.

Now that it is rendered I think it looks pretty good.

Easily enough room for the gas bottle plus a spare. Ready for the door which we can order when we get the supplier to make the new door and windows for the basement room.
