June already, and the garden is flourishing. Janet's flowers are blooming everywhere.

The vegetable plot is also doing well now that the watering system is installed and running.

We have various lilies around the garden. Orange and yellow so far.

The Indian fig (prickly pear) has grown huge. It is hard to believe that it started from just a single pad that we picked up off the road a few years ago.

It is very encouraging to see so many flowers and potential fruit on the older part of the plant. Last year, we saw only two flowers.

While digging and sifting sand for recent work, I spotted a tiny, strange spider in the tray.

I had to use the macro setting on my 'phone's camera to get a close-up picture. As a comparison of scale, those boulders are grains of sand, and the spider is about 5mm long. After further investigation, it turns out to be a female crab spider.

While trying to get away from my camera, she stumbled on a twig, rolled down a slope, and lay upside down for a few moments, so I got a picture of the underside.

I did collect her up and place her back in the garden to carry on hunting.
