Because the weather has been so kind in December I had the opportunity to make a start with concreting the rear patio step.
The old weed covered area was quite an eyesore and we spent a lot of time clearing it.
The area is to be divided into two sections, the upper step being fairly level to put some garden furniture out there, and the lower section next to the house has a reasonable slope to allow water to run off as efficiently as possible.
The upper step surrounds the little pond.
The current surface is just the base which will eventually have a proper surface to install ceramic tiles.
Also, the small walls and the pond sides will be rendered and painted when we finally get someone to do the house rendering project.
