The grand space that was our upper level has been slowly closing in with the construction of the wall framing.
Now I am able to get the plasterboard fitted and the space is closing up even more.
But we have rooms.
Things are really taking shape now, the insulation should help to keep the heat out during summer and keep it in during winter.
Even better, when we eventually get the new door and windows we can keep the outside environment out.
Thank goodness for the scaffold, some of the walls are quite high.
The rooms now have straight walls that are vertical and the corners are very close to 90º. Except for the doorway to the new living room which is designed to be at an angle.
With a sloping roof and an angled wall, the compound angle for the wall header was slightly awkward but it seems so work.
Perhaps another week of construction and it will be time for the ceiling boards to be fitted.
Then the 'mudding' as they call it across the Atlantic, followed by the sanding, the endless, endless sanding.
