Yes, it's been a very long time since the last post and we apologise yet again.
However, the work has progressed well.
I could not miss another chance to highlight the old house construction before finally closing up the last wall.
I am pretty sure that my walls are vertical.
Now we are in the process of taping over and filling the joints, a slow and laborious task which is not at the top of my skills list. But, practice makes perfect, eh?
The new granite window cills were ordered and after a misunderstanding with my specification they were made too small by 2cm.
As the new internal walls are straight and the old exterior walls are not there is a varying gap between the two. Therefore each of the seven window cills had to be made to a specific size. I managed to use the largest three in the smaller holes but the rest had to be returned to be re-made.
The new exterior door and windows have been measured for size and the manufacturing is hopefully under way.
We finally received a quote for the air-conditioning system but it seems very pricey, especially as the quote is for an outdated model. More quotes will be requested.
