April 25th is Liberation Day, a big day in the history of Portugal.
Even so, the guys came today to finish the work on our garden wall and fence.
I didn't expect them to be working on such an important day, but as a consequence, the wall and fencing on the lower side of the house (South) is now complete.
The original estimate of two, maybe three days was quite ambitious. The estimate of the materials required was also well under the actual requirement.
However, we are extremely happy with the finished project.
The view from the road is vastly improved. Now we just need to keep the weeds from settling into the gaps between the stones and it will stay looking good for years to come.
