Now that the work on the new ceiling is complete I can concentrate on the bathroom floor.
Fitting the under-floor heating mat is relatively simple.
I had previously cut out a section of the concrete floor so that the heating mat could be set into the floor rather than having to install the new tile floor even higher.
That task in itself was not too difficult once I had worked out the easiest way which was to cut grooves in a chequerboard pattern and then chisel out the chunks.
With the mat cut at two strategic places to lay it in the prepared 'hole' everything was ready to fix it in place.
Remove the mat, spread a bed of tile cement in the area, lay the mat into place again, and then press it into the cement.
Next, it was just a case of filling the hole to the top and scraping everything level to the existing floor.
Now the floor is level and reasonably flat to lay the tiles in a couple of days after the cement has cured.
It all sounds too easy.
