To keep an eye on the electricity consumption I decided to fit a monitor display that shows the current load on the system.
Useful to see the change in demand when certain devices turn on and off.
It is also useful to see what the 'normal' load on the system is when only the basic devices are running such as the fridge, freezer, network, and internet router. This information will be needed when calculating the requirements for an off-grid solar setup. Also, I can monitor the load when the washing machine or air conditioner kicks in.
I also took some time to tidy up the consumer unit and install the new MCBs ready for when the downstairs part of the house finally gets created.
