With the bathroom taking so long, the work on the outside fencing has been delayed - no big surprise.
However, with some decent weather, and with the driveway finally completed it was time to get the fence installed.
Because the road has a reasonable incline it was necessary to build a stepped wall to install the fence panels level.
To give support to the fence posts I inserted a couple of rebar studs into the ground for each post and cemented these in place.
The wall was then rendered to a smooth(ish) finish before the panels were installed.
Even though the panels are only 1m tall and the wall is less than ½m, the drop internally makes it unlikely that someone would try to gain access that way.
So, now the whole garden is fenced off and secure, we can begin thinking of taking on a dog (or two) which will give us the excuse to go out walking much more often, not to mention the companionship and security benefits.
