Finally, the new door and windows for the kitchen have been installed. There was a slight hiccup when the original date was spoiled by a tree falling onto our car during the journey to the house on Tuesday last.
And from the inside ...
Thank you to Tavares e Gralha, Lda, Fundão for the work. It took some time to get to completion but we chose the brown aluminium which had to be specially ordered and then some sort of global crisis turned up to slow things down even more.
It is almost ready for the new kitchen units. We spent the weekend painting the ceiling and relevant walls of the kitchen in readiness for the supplier to install the kitchen. The date remains at mid April and we are hopeful that it will be completed as scheduled.
The window wall cannot be finished until the plasterboard edging can be sourced, fitted and then skimmed. Hopefully soon!
