While I have been busy working inside the house, Janet has been equally busy outside in the garden.
The drab grey wall of the railway station car park has had some attention.
To really brighten the space, and to make a nice backdrop for the flowers, Janet decided that the wall should be painted.
With some of paint that we had leftover from painting the house, she has transformed the back garden.
Not such a simple job, because of the very uneven surface and all the voids in the concrete, but an excellent result.
With some makeshift trellis for the climbers and the plant supports now painted green the flowers look even more impressive.
Of course, some flowers do not need a white background to look pretty.
And then the new patio furniture adds some comfort to the area, great for those lazy evenings sipping wine and listening to the birdsong.
