As if the garden was not colourful enough, Janet had a great idea to paint the herb tubs in bright colours.
The dull grey concrete was a little boring, we originally thought of painting them white like the house.
After a few hours of work priming and then glossing, the final result is worth the effort.
Even the little strip between the pots has been painted in a mix colour.

Further about the garden, the small cherry was completely covered with blossom last week, much more than we had seen in previous years. It is just starting to die back now and the baby fruits are developing well. We should have a good crop as long as we don't get a fierce hail storm and can keep the blackbirds and azure-winged magpies off.
Janet had been training the Wisteria along the back fence next to the railway station car park, this has burst into flower over the past couple of weeks and looks really good. After a few more years this should be completely covered and will provide a natural barrier covered with bees.
The Calla Lillies have enjoyed the sunshine and brought forth some impressive flowers.
