It has been a busy week with the team working on the roof and it was a huge surprise to wake up on Friday to find a truck parked in the driveway with a load of roofing on board.
Seems like they sneaked in during the night.
Consequently they have now reached the goal for the week.
The new roof structure is installed and the panels fitted. There is a whole list of finishing off tasks to do, but that is for next week if the predicted rain passes quickly or in fact doesn't arrive.
We have a new roof.
So different and immediately warmer in the house, of course it should be since there was no roof at all during the week.
The colour is a little different to the traditional terracotta but it will weather over time, gaining moss and other discolourations.
