As the recent cold nights and clear sunny mornings have proved, we now have a different problem to deal with under the new roof.

Fortunately, I think it will be easy to resolve though.

With the new rain gullies being open to to both the outside and the inside of the building we now see an accumulation of condensation appearing and dripping into the house.

Specifically, and unfortunately, directly above the doors to both the bathroom and the newer building.

There was actually less water coming in when the rain was pouring down, although I supposed one could argue that the condensate was already inside. I'm quite sure the scientists are right, again!.

Anyway, I had already planned to fit insulation boards to the inside surfaces of the gully because when it rains the sound of water dripping into the gully echoes through the room.

That project may move up the list now.
