The latest update for the major works to start on the old part of the house has now slid into October so we are even more worried that painting the house exterior may not happen before Winter.
But, undeterred, we decided that the kitchen section of the house does not require any work outside so made a good start on that building.
After purchasing a couple of tubs of quality white exterior primer we started last weekend and managed to get two coats applied to most of the wall area while the weather was bearable in the mornings.
The remaining areas were completed and then a final coat was applied this weekend.
The difference is astounding, the dull, stained beige exterior has been brightened up enormously.
Of course, it will be quite some time before the rest of the building is painted to match because of the required repairs and preparation works, but we can now imagine how different the image will be.
The paint will now have a week to cure before we apply the white top coat.
