Here is my first bass, just a basic ‘Gear4Music’ P-bass copy, probably made in Taiwan, China or Lithuania.
Rather poor quality but it allowed me to determine if I could actually play. It served a purpose and I learned the basics.
The little 25w G4M practice amp which came with the kit was traded for a larger old 60w amp, branded as ‘Drive’, which was sufficient as an upgrade - a 12" speaker rather than the 8" provided a better bass sound.
I was later given a Zoom B2 effects pedal as a birthday present and I had some fun trying out lots of effects.
