Janet made an unexpected but pleasant discovery whilst inspecting the garden earlier.
We have a number of aloe plants of varying types, one of which is a baby aloe vera.
Here, curled up in the base of the leaves was a tiny snake, perfectly formed yet clearly a baby.
Although the image makes it look large, the head is no bigger than my fingernail. You can see the sand grains in the image as a comparison.
It was quite happy there for a few days and then it was gone.
