Says it all really. Having found a house with most of the requirements for our forever home and then making a formal offer which seems fair, especially considering the amount of work needed to make the house habitable, we were advised by the estate agents that the offer was accepted; great news.
However, because the house is apparently an inheritance, there are 4 owners and there is some difficulty in getting all to sign an agreement. One of the owners does not reside in Portugal and will not sign any documents without being present.
It seems that we may have to wait until July or even later before the deal gets completed. We're all geared up ready to get started on the works and obviously cannot do anything until we gain ownership. Very, frustrating.
So in the meantime we keep looking and if something else appears on the market we might just have a change of mind.
