After a day off yesterday doing other things, Luís and the guys turned up late this morning. However, within five minutes of arrival, the first barrow load of cement was delivered to the room to continue the bricklaying.

A whole load of bricks had been placed in just over an hour before lunchtime was called.

As is now the norm, I was invited to the village restaurant to take lunch with the team.

We returned just after 1 pm and the work started up once again. Even through the heavy rain showers, the cement conveyor kept on rolling.

Luís took charge of the heavy breaker machine and destroyed some more granite stones around the perimeter of the bathroom space, João and José continued building walls.

At around 5:30 they had stopped and were packing up for the day, yet they had managed a lot of work in little over half a day.

The niché on the right is destined to be the shower space.

Tomorrow, among other things, the floor level will be marked out and then over the weekend I should be able to get a lot of the electrical tubing in place before the walls are rendered and the drainage plumbing is installed.next week.

An incredible amount of work in less than 4 days so far.
