With the required materials all located and bought we can finally make some real progress with the back room. The walls are installed with the insulation, the electric tubing is in place and the ceiling insulation fitted.

Here is the 8´ high jig that I made to help hold the plasterboard panels while fixing them in place.

The plan basically worked, it was definitely not easy to raise the sheets into position but with Janet's help handling the jig we got it done. There were only two full boards to install but even so it was a challenge.

The next stage was to create and install the lower section around the perimeter of the room.

This was rather time consuming and a lot of attention required to keep everything on the level.

Big thanks to our good friend Ian Elliot, we now have a basic cheap door to fit the new frame that I finally managed to create. His cavernous vehicle swallowed the door with no effort (and saved us a bunch of money for delivery charges) - it would have been hanging out of the back of Janet´s BMW.

I still miss my Subaru Legacy, that would have easily done the job.

    • Yes, I know, but we can´t fit doors into Janet´s car!!. Also we just made the opening wider for a 75cm door.
