Rick
A Yorkshireman born in the early 1960's who loves to learn new things. Knows something about everything but doesn't know everything about anything.
Enjoys exploring anything mechanical or technical, educated in mechanical engineering and various computer related subjects with a passion for repairing rather than simply disposing of broken things.
As my first adventure into music, I began trying to play bass guitar during a mild mid-life crisis because all the other family members could play music. Whilst I'll never be a Jah Wobble, Donald 'Duck' Dunn, Jaco Pastorius, or Cliff Burton, I do thoroughly enjoy the playing, and my time at Macclesfield Music Centre was a great experience.

Although I completed this project way back at the beginning of 2019 it has taken me this long to get a video clip of the finished product.

MMC-Gig
Jean's Birthday
The MMC Big Band were requested top perform for the birthday party of Jean, one of our members. The event took place on 3rd February 2013 at Hollin Hall, Bollington and was recorded on video. I took the resulting video files to produce a DVD.
I'm in there playing bass next to the drummer but usually obscured by Ben on keyboards. Our eldest daughter Emily is also in the band playing clarinet, the young lady wearing the dark jacket on the front row.
All held together by Neil Shaw-Hulme, a talented multi-instrumentalist with a fantastic sense of humour and a great deal of patience.
