Christmas 2024 was spent quietly relaxing at home here in Portugal.
We did have a nice pile of gifts to open on the day and lots of food to see us through the festive season.
Once again I had model kits to assemble, four on this occasion, one of which was quite different.
A Lego Technic Formula E racing car with working steering and 'pull back and release' action to send it racing across the floor.
The other three kits are the wooden pop-out type as I had received previously.
Here's an old time racing car, not too difficult but the folding parts are quite delicate.
Although box says that it has a straight 8 engine it is clearly a V8 arrangement, and it appears to have no cylinders heads fitted.
Next we have a mechanical cello which has a clockwork mechanism and plays a pleasant tune while moving the bow back and forth.
And finally a grand piano which also plays a tune.
All these are fun to construct and I'm gaining a nice collection.
