The recent forest fire in our area was not entirely unexpected but it was still a surprise when it happened.
As is often the case, the cause was human error.
During the afternoon of 25th August, a local resident was out filming the events as they unfolded and on the next day took drone footage of the resulting damage across the area.
Their whole video is nearly ½ hour long and goes into detail regarding the profile of persons who start fires here in Portugal.
I have taken the video and edited it down to around 4½ minutes showing the main parts (in my opinion).
This video is made entirely from excerpts from the original except for the overlay titles and the few frames that identify our house location towards the end of the clip.
