The changeover for our MEO TV and internet service is scheduled for Thursday 30th April, therefore there is a good chance that there will be a disruption to our web-site.

The server will be staying at the apartment with no internet access until it can be moved. Because the fibre service is not available at the new house we will be relying on their satellite offering, unknown territory.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

  • I assume you will have the same as us. It’s not satellite internet. It is cellular 4g. It’s quite good but can be a bit variable. Weekends can be poor but you can just about stream tv. This morning it’s fab 27 down and 10 up.
    • Not sure, she said satellite in the conversation but that´s interpretation. They told me it would be 40Mb both ways (of course that is an ´up to´ figure) As the existing 4G signal is pretty poor at the house they had better install a decent receiver. Could be a bit of a let down from the reliable 100Mb that we´re used to, but 10Mb upload will suffice to serve our mini web and media service. Janet will need to work from home using tele-conferencing which may load it up a bit. As usual, we´ll see.

  • Time will tell I guess. We had the same sort of conversation with them. Will be interesting to see. Have you signed up for Gardunha.net. Could be good if he can get it going.
